The Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2012 (SI 2012/1956)

This Order is the first Commencement Order made under the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (c. 10). Article 2 brought section 144 of that Act into force on 1 September 2012. Section 144 creates an offence of squatting in a residential building.
